DROPS OF TERROIR - Prologue
“For many years, we dreamed of creating our own wine, one that embodies our personal vision, palate, and a story we wished to tell. A wine with depth, complexity and the delicate nuances we so love, shared with you all. When we encountered the family-run Saffron Vineyard, nestled in a cool-climate area at an altitude of about 600 meters, we immediately felt this was the place where our dream wine could be born. As we tasted their wines, we sensed the passion and care infused into every single grape. This was not just another Napa Valley vineyard: it was a place with a story, one that resonated beautifully with our own philosophy of wine.”

DROPS of TERROIR / DROPS of GOD
A dream long in the making, this wine tells a story in every glass. Born from the organically farmed Saffron Vineyard, high in the Mount Veeder region, its bold terroir and delicate nuances mirror the journey of life itself. With Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, we've created a wine of depth, elegance, and narrative: each sip revealing a new chapter. More than a Napa wine, it's a bottled expression of our world. We invite you to taste the story.

The camera crew are just packing away their gear when The Japan Times arrives to interview the authors, siblings Yuko and Shin Kibayashi, who co=write the manga under the pen name of Tadashi Agi

Why Terroir?
We chose Drops of Terroir because terroir is the one word that refuses to lie. It holds the sun and shadow, the stone and rain, the quiet patience of roots and the sudden laughter of harvest. It is the story the land tells when no one is speaking.
We don’t try to tame that story. We try to listen to it from every angle. Each block, each row, each vintage is a different voice of the same place, a new chapter written in soil, wind, and time. From those many voices come multiple expressions of one terroir, like panels in a manga that together reveal a single, deeper truth.
This is our dedication: to the vineyards that give us their many faces, to the farmers and winemakers who draw those faces into the glass, and to “Terroir” itself, the name we chose because nothing else could hold all that this place has to say.
